injectables

Injectables are an amazing way to give your skin a slight boost or a dramatic lift.

Minimally invasive procedures like fillers and Botox do not require the time commitment that surgery entails. Injectables can be administered within the span of a lunch break and leave patients with smooth, bright skin that exudes youthfulness. Dr. Joshua Korman offers a variety of dermal fillers and neuromodulators. He will discuss the various options that are available to help you achieve your cosmetic goals.

All of our products and services are safe, FDA-approved, and administered only by Dr. Korman. He gives his patients the best cosmetic services available. Facial Fillers

As our bodies age, we produce less and less collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastins. These are the building blocks of healthy skin maintenance and regeneration. Over time, our supportive subcutaneous networks deteriorate, further blocking the receptors that trigger collagen production.

When the skin gets looser, it allows wrinkles to appear.

Dermal fillers literally help replace the void left by age and plump the subcutaneous areas that need attention. The type of filler you want or need depends on the look you desire

Bellafill

Collagen is the most prevalent protein in the human body. It promotes the growth of skin, blood cells, and other vital bodily structures. Bellafill is a collagen gel that contains polymethyl methacrylate (PMML) microspheres.[1] PMML helps the collagen in Bellafill integrate with your existing tissue to deliver long-lasting results well after your filler procedure.

Juvederm

Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring in our bodies. It helps cradle moisture and support hydration under your skin. Juvederm harnesses the power of hyaluronic acid to create the ideal dermal filler for the cheeks and lips. [2] To add volume and vitality to your face, consider an appointment with Dr. Korman and ask about the benefits of Juvederm.

Radiesse

While many fillers are designed to help with facial aging, they can also be applied to other parts of the body. Radiesse is a great solution for clients with unwanted loose skin on the backs of their hands or under the jowls of their neck and chin area. This non-toxic, water based gel contains calcium microspheres that provide rejuvenating support in the form of continued collagen production.

Restylane

The delicate lines around the nose and mouth are often the most difficult to erase. These fine wrinkles require the soothing effects of Restylane, a subdermal treatment in the hyaluronic acid family of fillers. By eradicating the lines on your skin, Restylane can help you put your best face forward!

Sculptra

For results that last up to two years, Sculptra is an amazing dermal filler option. By stimulating the collagen-producing abilities of your skin, Sculptra provides a system of support and rejuvenation. If your expression lacks the firmness and vitality that you want, then Dr. Korman can help. He can determine if Sculptra is the right dermal filler for you.

Neuromodulators

While fillers plump the region under a wrinkle, neuromodulators go to their root causes. When the muscles under your face contract, they pull the skin with them. This produces fine lines that get deeper and more severe over time. Neuromodulators block the contraction of these muscles to relax your skin and eliminate wrinkles.

Botox

There’s a reason why Botox is the most popular minimally invasive cosmetic enhancement on the market: it delivers remarkable results. By targeting the receptors that trigger unwanted neural activity, Botox has applications beyond just physical enhancement.

Some individuals have even enjoyed relief from migraine headaches thanks to Botox injections. The most common usage for Botox, however, is the smoothing of wrinkles on the face and/or neck due to muscle tension.

Dysport

Muscle activity affects every face differently. Some contractions result in focused, deep lines like the ones often found in the middle of the eyebrow region. Dysport is in the same neuromodulator family as Botox, but it diffuses further. Dr. Korman can explain the differences between Dysport and Botox in your consultation to discuss which is best for you.

Before and After Photos

Fat Injection

Dr. Korman can use your own cells to add volume and definition to your face. First, he removes fat deposits from your abdomen, thighs, or hips. Next, he inserts these fat cells into your cheeks to build them up and smooth out your wrinkles uniformly.

Fat Injection is available at our Mountain View location, so call (650) 254-1200 to learn more.

Benefits

Dermal fillers can plump any area of your skin that needs more definition. If you have “marionette” lines around your mouth, “parentheses” on your cheeks, or other noticeable lines that need reduction, then Dr. Korman has the filler for you.

Neuromodulators are perfect for anyone trying to relax the pronounced lines on their skin.

Products like Botox and Dysport disrupt muscle contractions and help smooth the look of your facial features. If you prefer to repurpose your own cells for a ravishing enhancement, then fat injections may suit your needs perfectly.

Your individual benefits will depend on your goals. If you want help erasing the delicate lines on your skin, call our Mountain View offices and let’s discuss your options

Ideal Candidates

If you are a healthy individual who wants help recapturing the vigor of youth, then you are the right candidate for an injectable solution. Each dermal filler has its own unique properties, so their applicability depends entirely on your enhancement goals.

Neuromodulators are designed to limit muscular contractions and achieve a cosmetic improvement, but they can also help people who struggle with excessive sweating. If you wrestle with this issue, then you might be the perfect fit for a Botox treatment for hyperhidrosis.

In order to perform a fat injection, Dr. Korman will need to draw from unwanted fat deposits on your body. If you have excess fatty bulges, then you could be a great candidate for a fat injection procedure.

Preparation

Since most injectable procedures last less than 30 minutes, very little preparation is required. If you are receiving a fat injection, Dr. Korman will give you a detailed set of instructions to follow before, during, and after your session.

Procedure

The actual process of administering an injectable is quick and easy.

You can stop by during your lunch hour (or half hour), because no downtime is required. It’s just that simple! If you are particularly sensitive, you can request a numbing agent for additional comfort. However, the injections are given through extremely thin hypodermic needles, so most clients do not require any such numbing cream.

Recovery

You can go back to your regular routine immediately after receiving a filler or neuromodulator. Please do not rub the injection site for the rest of the day. Rubbing may impede or irritate the flow of regenerative compounds in your system.

Your recovery will be as smooth as your new look!

Results

The benefits of injectables are twofold. You will enjoy immediate results from fillers in the form of a fuller look and smoothed-out wrinkles. Over the next couple of weeks or months, your collagen production will increase, amplifying the enhancement dramatically.

In the case of neuromodulators, you will typically see results within two or three days as the muscles achieve optimal relaxation. The effects can last for several months, but you can enjoy even better results through repeat sessions. Dr. Korman can schedule a plan for you accordingly.

Cost

The price of an injectable depends on your insurance plan. If your provider does not cover fillers or neuromodulators, please consult our Financing page for help or feel free to call us directly. We also run Specials periodically, so check back often to secure the best cost for your best self.
