The thighs can be a difficult area to tone up. One area in particular is the upper thighs just below the buttocks.
This area tends to develop a roll of fat also known as a banana roll. Banana rolls are nearly impossible to slim down even with targeted thigh workouts and dieting. If you have been working out but are seeing no improvement in your banana rolls, we have the perfect solution for you! CoolSculpting is a non-invasive simple treatment to get rid of bumps and rolls along the body – perfect for getting rid of banana rolls!

CoolSculpting is a ground-breaking technique to get rid of fat without requiring surgical intervention. CoolSculpting uses the science of Cryolipolysis to target and freeze fat cells. Freezing the cells will kill them, causing the body to metabolize them. These cells are killed off and will not return again.
CoolSculpting is unique in that it only affects the fat layer.
Scientists noticed that cold temperatures affect the layer of fat just below your skin, also known as subcutaneous fat. Even though your fat layer will be impacted by the cold temperatures, your skin will remain safe. Cryolipolysis, the science of fat freezing, was first hypothesized by scientists when they noticed that young children often developed dimples if they ate a lot of popsicles. They tested their findings which led to the development of CoolSculpting.
Today, CoolSculpting is helping men and women get rid of frustrating, stubborn fat. This body contouring technique is unique because it allows our patients to improve a specific area of their body.
CoolSculpting treatment areas include the abdomen, love handles, thighs, back, upper arms, and below the chin. Improving these areas helps to transform the whole appearance of the body.
In a banana roll CoolSculpting treatment, a specific CoolSculpting applicator called the CoolCurve+ will be used to reduce fat deposits under the bum. This applicator will expose the fat stores along the upper thigh to consistently cold temperatures. Targeting these fat cells will result in slimmer thighs and a more defined butt.
The primary advantage of a CoolSculpting treatment is how simple it is.
A CoolSculpting treatment requires minimal, if any, preparation or downtime. This allows our patients save time and still look their best. Because CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure, it is perfect for individuals who have a demanding job or busy family life.
The treatment takes between thirty-five to sixty minutes and will let you get right back to your regular schedule.
CoolSculpting is a great choice for healthy men and women who just can’t seem to get rid of banana rolls. This may be due to genetics, age, or lifestyle. We recommend patients to get CoolSculpting when they are within a close range of their ideal weight. The only way to know for sure if CoolSculpting is a good choice to diminish your banana rolls is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Korman.
During your meeting with Dr. Korman, you will be informed of the benefits of CoolSculpting and how it can make your thighs more attractive. This meeting will also allow Dr. Korman to learn about you and your health.
We stress our patient’s health and create a safe treatment plan that helps them achieve the results they want.
If CoolSculpting is determined by both you and Dr. Korman as a good solution for you, an appointment will be planned out and you will be started down the path to smooth thighs and more defined buttocks.
What we love about CoolSculpting is that it doesn’t cause our patients stress. If there are any steps you need to take to prepare, they will be minimal in comparison to invasive cosmetic surgery. We just need you to show up at your appointment, sit back and relax. If you have any questions, please give our office a call.
Banana Roll CoolSculpting Treatment
After laying down, the CoolCurve+ applicator will be applied to your upper thighs, just below the bum. The applicator will be secured in place with suction. The suction will also work to draw the unwanted fat up to the surface of the skin so it can be better treated with cold temperatures.
Once you are comfortable and the applicators are in place, the treatment will begin. Cold temperatures will be emitted and quickly numb the treatment area. The whole appointment will take about thirty-five to sixty minutes. Once your appointment is complete, the applicators will be removed and the upper thighs will be massaged. You will be able to return to your regular schedule after treatment.
Our patients love that CoolSculpting does not require major downtime. Your upper thighs will be red from the suction of the device but this symptom will fade throughout the day. Tingling sensations are often felt as feeling returns to the treatment area. Sometimes these sensations last for more than a day but should be complete by day three after your treatment.
Over the next few months, your body will be removing and disposing the killed off fat cells. It will take about three months for you to see your final outcome. Some patients require multiple CoolSculpting treatments to achieve the aesthetic they had in mind. Your CoolSculpting results will last you a long time. The best way to maintain your slim thighs is by eating well and remaining active.
The cost of your CoolSculpting treatment will depend on whether multiple appointments are required and if more than one location is CoolSculpted. Another advantage of CoolSculpting is that two areas of the body can be treated in one appointment. You can slim down your abdomen, love handles or other areas. Korman Plastic Surgery offers a variety of custom CoolSculpting applicators that fit a variety of body areas. This dual treatment will help improve your body’s contours and help you look your best! If you are interested in transforming your appearance with CoolSculpting, schedule a consultation with Dr. Korman today at (650) 254-1200.
Does CoolSculpting really work?
Yes! CoolSculpting is a body contouring technique that slims down bothersome fat deposits around the body. Stubborn areas of fat often show up as bulges or rolls. Try as we might, exercise and diet are often ineffective at completely getting rid of the fatty areas. This is largely due to the durability of subcutaneous fat. Subcutaneous fat is found just below the skin. This layer of fat acts as insulation and protection. It is only meant as an energy source as a last resort. Diminishing subcutaneous fat on your own is difficult and almost impossible at times. CoolSculpting is a natural way to slim down areas you may feel self-conscious about. The treatment doesn’t require injections, anesthesia, prescription narcotics, downtime, or incisions – allowing you to enjoy your results without worrying about scars. The science behind CoolSculpting has been proven and tested. Look through our before and after gallery to see how our patients are being impacted by CoolSculpting treatments.
How many sessions of CoolSculpting are needed?
The amount of CoolSculpting sessions needed to achieve your desired outcome will depend on the size of the treatment area, how much improvement is desired, and whether other areas are being treated by CoolSculpting as well. Dr. Korman will take the time to inform you of your options and of his professional recommendation. You will have enough time in between treatments to see the results from previous appointments and judge if you want to schedule further Coolsculpting sessions.
How much does it cost for CoolSculpting?
The cost of your CoolSculpting treatment will be discussed in your private meeting with Dr. Korman. There are a variety of factors that need to be considered when determining the cost of CoolSculpting. Dr. Korman will make sure you understand these factors and how they impact your total cost.
How many times do you have to do CoolSculpting?
The amount of CoolSculpting sessions you undergo will relate to your end goal. Dr. Korman will recommend the number of treatments he thinks you will need. The number of sessions can be altered at any time to make sure you are on the path to your best outcome.
What are the risks of CoolSculpting?
Like with any treatment, there are risks involved with CoolSculpting. However, the risks involved with CoolSculpting are significantly less than the risks associated with invasive cosmetic surgeries. Dr. Korman will take the opportunity to explain CoolSculpting risks with you during your consultation.
How can I reduce my stomach fat?
If you are looking to reduce stomach fat, we suggest changing up your diet and exercising more often. If these changes aren’t working for you and you are still bothered by fat along your abdomen, CoolSculpting is a great solution! CoolSculpting has been designed to reduce fat along the stomach and help smooth out your contours.
Does CoolSculpting tighten loose skin?
No. CoolSculpting will reduce fat stores but cannot tighten loose skin. We offer our patients ThermiTight for areas of loose skin. ThermiTight uses radiofrequency to tighten skin painlessly. This cutting-edge technique reduces lax skin and helps our patients enjoy healthy, taut skin! The treatment can be applied to the face, neck, knees, thighs, abdomen, arms and breasts. The heat from the RF energy will boost collagen levels in the skin. Collagen is responsible for holding the skin up and helping it keep its shape. The whole treatment takes thirty to sixty minutes and requires little downtime. Results are seen in about thirty days but will improve the function of your skin for months to come. If you are looking for a way to tighten your skin, ThermiTight can help maximize your CoolSculpting results.
CoolSculpting(R) is FDA-cleared to treat visible fat bulges in 9 areas of the body. Some common side effects include temporary numbness, discomfort, and swelling.
